Monterey Fairgrounds: Festivals, Fairs, and Horse Racing

From fun festivals to the Monterey County Fair, the Monterey County Fairgrounds is home to all the best events and happenings in town.  This multi-use event center is located in the heart of the Monterey Bay, just five minutes from Days Inn Monterey Fisherman's Wharf/Aquarium.  It features 30,000 square feet of indoor building space, two outdoor concert venues, off-track betting, and sprawling lawns throughout its 22 acres. Place a friendly wager on your favorite equestrian at the Monterey Bay Race Place inside the fairgrounds which broadcasts over 12 tracks and hosts racing events all year.   • How do I get to the Monterey County Fairgrounds?

    Getting to the Monterey County Fairgrounds from Days Inn Monterey Fisherman’s Wharf/Aquarium is a breeze. We are just 2.8 miles away via CA-1. Head southwest on Munras Ave toward Vía Arboles and use the left lane to turn left onto Soledad Dr. Turn left to merge onto CA-1 N/CA-68 E/Cabrillo Hwy to exit 401B for N Fremont St. Turn right onto Casa Verde Way and the Fairgrounds will be on your right.
  • Where can I park near the Monterey County Fairgrounds?

    There are plenty of parking lots onsite and near the Monterey County Fairgrounds off Garden Road.  If you are headed to the Fairgrounds for an event, you can purchase parking in advance which includes parking for one car with in/out parking privileges for the day. Otherwise, parking is first come, first serve and typically $25 on Friday, $50 for Saturday or Sunday, and $125 for the full weekend. Visitors can also park at Monterey Peninsula College and ride Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) JAZZ buses or leave your car at Days Inn and park for free!
